SEO Article Sample

The following is a sample from a 700+ word SEO article that I wrote for Alicia Streger at Forte Fitness in Orlando, Florida.

SEO is an acronym for Search Engine Optimization.  SEO articles and posts ensure that key words are used with enough frequency to increase the visibility of the targeted site when searched for on Internet search engines.  A well-written SEO article will increase visibility with relevant, substantial content that is not interpreted as spam by search engine algorithms.

Writing for Alicia was a delight.  Doing so provided me with an opportunity to research a topic that I am passionate about - health and fitness - then find a creative way to use that data to increase her Internet traffic.  The sample below focuses on the key terms "weight loss" and "Orlando" and includes links back to her site.

Weight Loss in the Orlando Area

Forte Fitness specializes in Orlando weight loss with emphasis on clean eating and exercise as well as personal accountability.

Last fall, the Orlando Sentinel reported that Florida is on track to have a 58.7% obesity rate by the year 2013.  America’s obesity epidemic is no longer breaking news. You cannot open up a magazine without seeing ads for magic fat burning pills or seasonings that you sprinkle on your food to help with weight loss.  You cannot turn on the television without being inundated by infomercials that ply you with products that promise dramatic results in 90 days, six weeks, or even 10 minutes a day.  So with all of these weapons in our arsenal, why are people in the Orlando area still in desperate need of a weight loss program?

Forte Fitness in Orlando has weight loss down to a science.  Their programs such as “The Little Black Dress Project” and the “21-Day Belly Blast” focus on lifestyle changes that can help Orlando residents experience long-term weight loss.

Clean Eating
You often hear “a calorie is a calorie,” but that is simply not true.  The weight loss programs offered by Orlando’s Forte Fitness include an emphasis on clean eating.  One of the reasons that Americans cannot seem to lose weight is their toxic diets.  Even products that disguise themselves as health foods (low fat, sugar free, etc.) are hiding scores of ingredients that are both unpronounceable and unrecognizable.  Not only can you not pronounce or recognize many of the ingredients listed on the back of these products; neither can your body.  A clean diet is key to keeping your body functioning at its prime.  In a nutshell, clean eating focuses on single-ingredient foods: an apple, a boiled egg, baked chicken breast, sautéed spinach, etc.  Do not be deterred by the idea of eating single-ingredient foods for the rest of your life; the weight loss plans offered by Forte Fitness operate on a realistic 90/10 rule.  Eat clean 90% of the time and allow yourself to “cheat” 10% of the time.  Even with the occasional cheat meal, if your diet is rich in clean foods, it will reward you with efficiency.  Orlando’s Forte Fitness’ weight loss programs include recipes and grocery lists to make clean eating simple.  In time, participants become more comfortable with preparing and eating clean foods and become less reliant on processed convenience foods.
